Burt's bees lemon cuticle butter

>> Friday, March 29, 2013

Lately I've been really trying to take care of my cuticles I want cuticles the look healthy and hydrated I've tried cream after cream but nothing seemed to quite work as well as I would of liked.Until Burt's Bees cuticle butter. I really like the consistency of the butter it is quite greasy but after you give it a good massage into the cuticles it begins to really absorb into the skin and the smell oh the smell I've seriously had to stop myself from taking a taste it' smells that good. I really like that it's in a handy little tin so it doesn't take up to much space and anything in a tiny tin is always cute. I've been using the butter for a good 2 weeks now and can already see drastic changes my cuticles are hydrated and overall looking much healthier. It instantly moisturisers cuticles and nails after using nail polish remover which is something I really like about this product, acetone can really take its toll on nails but the butter really helps with this problem.I definitely recommend the Burt's Bees cuticle butter to anyone who needs a little TLC for there cuticles specially ladies who paint there nails often and use acetone.

Fabulous Triple Tough Review

>> Monday, November 26, 2012

I've been trying the Fabulous triple tough nail treatment for about a month now. It has keratin and vitamins E & B6 which are all great for moisturizing and strengthening. It's simple to use just apply 1 coat daily than on the 4th day remove polish and start again. I started noticing a difference in the health of my nails after the first 4 days of use they looked a lot more hydrated and healthy and I even noticed a descent amount of growth. My nails feel a lot stronger I do normal everyday chores almost every time I have a nail break or chip but after using the Fabulous nail treatment I survived the cleaning & cooking with all 10 nails intact. I would definitely recommend it for those of you who have nails in need of some serious moisturizing and strengthening.

As you can see my nails grew a descent amount in the 4 days that the treatment was applied you can also see how much more healthier my nails appear.

Emjoi Pedi Smooth Review

>> Thursday, October 11, 2012

I'm going to give you a WARNING as this post is a little graphic, embarrassing and gross. But the results are fantastic.

I recently tried the Emjoi pedi smooth which is a battery operated device that buffs away rough, dry and calloused skin in literally seconds. I was seriously amazed at how fast the emjoi gave me results. As you can see by the picture I had dry, rough and just plain gross heels to the point where I stopped wearing open heel shoes cause I didn't want anyone seeing my feet. Now your probably thinking why didn't I just get a pedi done? Well to be honest I'm quite a shy/private person so the thought of someone touching my feet just kind of freaked me out a little. So the convenience of the Pedi smooth really came in handy in my situation not to mention you save a heap of money and its a lot safer and effective than the metal scrapers the beauticians use and so much more handy than using a pumice stone. Oh and you can use the Emjoi in the privacy of your own home and I'm glad I did cause there was literally a mountain of dead skin piled up I know I know gross but hey it worked. It comes with two different roller strengths the white for extra course skin and the pink for course skin. I only used the white cause as you can tell my heels were in need of some serious TLC. The Pedi smooth also comes with a handy bag to keep everything packed away nicely, a cleaning brush and two extra rollers so in total 3 rollers altogether in the pack. Totally in love with the pedi smooth you ladies should definitely check it out!

Benefit Sugarlicious

>> Thursday, September 20, 2012

Benefit are releasing some new lip and cheek kits in Australia on the 26 SEPT 2012 each kit will come with 4 of the most iconic products each will include lip/cheek stain, high beam, blush and lipgloss, all packaged in a super cute box with a mirror and even including some tips and tricks on how to apply each product.Sugarlicious is the first product from the Benefit range I've ever tried so I was really happy to be able to try some of there most raved about items. And I wasn't disappointed.

High beam is just amazing adding a nice glow to cheek and brow bones and I really love that its suitable for any skin tone.

Benetint would have to be my least favorite product from the kit for some reason it just didn't look right on my lips I found it piled up into the little creases in my lips, but on the cheeks it gave a natural rosey tint it also smells really pretty like roses.

Sugarbomb the face powder of the kit would have to be the standout for me I really love that the four colors once swirled together create a peachy pink shade with a subtle gold sheen. It really adds a pretty glow and radiance to your face without looking overpowering its soft but certainly visible.

And finally Ultra blush sugerbomb lipgloss I will admit that I'm not the hugest fan of lipgloss so I was a bit on the fence when trying the gloss out but considering I'm not a fan I actually quite liked the color and the formula wasn't to sticky at all again the color would look great on any skintone which I really have to praise Benefit for considering so many products out there are only suited for a certain skin tone.

Overall I really liked the Sugarlicious kit I recommend them to anyone who has never tried any of the Benefit range because you get a sample of so many products in one kit and to the ladies who have already sampled Benefit the kits would be great to have in any ones collection.

Redwin Sensitive Skin Sorbolene Moisturiser

>> Monday, May 7, 2012

Redwin sensitive skin sorbolene moisturiser is a great cream for head to toe use. It moisturisers and hydrates skin without any harsh ingredients, making it perfect for sensitive and normal skin types. I use Redwin sensitive skin sorbolene as a all over body moisturiser. As the winter months are approaching my skin seems to be getting much dryer and flaky specially around my arms and legs so a moisturising cream around this time is a must for my skin. I also find it helpful while shaving my legs, which sounds odd but because my skin is so sensitive I am prone to those little tiny red bumps after shaving, but I just use the sorbolene as a shaving cream instead and I find this really helps with not getting any bumpy reactions . On the back of the bottle it gives some multipurpose ideas for use like ideal for working hands, nappy rash, skin rashes and sunburn, shaving cream for legs, underarms and face, and finally makeup removal. So overall I think the Redwin sensitive skin sorbolene moisturiser  is fantastic for the whole family. So many benefits in one bottle and for such a affordable price, you cant go wrong at $4.95 AUD for a 500ml bottle. Here is a little tip from beauty expert and makeup artist for the stars,Mia Hawkswell

"After a shower, moisturise your skin while it is slightly damp and still warm.
This will help it absorb into the skin, without requiring as much product. To
refresh dull winter skin, massage moisturiser into your skin to help stimulate
blood circulation."

Reef Coconut Body Butter Review

>> Wednesday, May 2, 2012

I remember as a pale 13 year old smelling Reef tanning lotion in my grandmothers beach bag she has and still to this day was blessed with the Greek side of her and has olive skin unlike myself which has ghostly white skin as you all know. I remember slathering that tanning lotion all over myself reapplying about 7 times in the matter of half an hour wishing and praying that I might just get a hint of a tan and not a body like a lobster. I was lucky I did get a slight tan ,well as much as white skin can tan. But the thing that burns in my memory was the beautiful scent of the tanning lotion, so you can imagine how nostalgic it was when I was sent Reef's Coconut Body Butter. First off the packaging is cute I love the logo on the Reef products as you can see colourful and eye catching. But the smell is just Divine its what I would think the Bahamas would smell like or some place beautiful and tropical, the actual scent description is tropical coconut. The texture of the body butter is rich, creamy and smooth and I really love that no matter how much you apply your skin isn't left with a oily residue which is something I really hate in some body butters. As soon as you apply the Reefs body butter it instantly absorbs into the skin leaving behind a gentle tropical coconut scent and your skin feeling soft and hydrated. Great for after the beach,shower/bath or just anytime your skin needs some love!

Kiss Nail Dress Review

>> Thursday, April 26, 2012

Kiss Nail Dress for tips and toes are basically a nail sticker that sticks to the nail with no polish needed. They are absolutely fantastic, I’ve only really just discovered them I’ve seen them a lot in the shops specially the Sally Hansen ones but after trying the Kiss Nail dress I’m totally hooked. They are super easy to use I mean easier than saying the ABC and are no fuss at all. My favorite part is that there is no drying time and once there on you have a perfect mani for up to 10days. The different patterns are really funky and there is something for everyone. I tried the 'Shrug' nail dress it’s a glittery silver base with a black giraffe print, I love black and silver together I think they really complement each other and I’m totally a sucker for anything animal print. The nail dress where really easy to apply although I found actually cutting the end bit that won’t be used than filing the rest really helped. They lasted me through cleaning, cooking and normal everyday events with no chipping or lifting I was actually quite sad to remove them. Removal is easy just lift a little from the side and slowly peel off. Each packet comes with 28 strips in different sizes, a nail file and instruction booklet. I’m totally in love with the Kiss Nail dress and I can’t wait to try out more, I seriously want to try them all ahhh the life of a nail addict!!! You can find Kiss and Broadway Nails on Facebook & Twitter..

Some Tips from Kiss

-Use Nail dress on your toes! There are 28 jeweled strips per package in a variety of sizes, so you can use leftover strips on your toes.
-Get the most out of your Nail Dress package. Cut up your left over strips and use them as nail art the next time you do your nails!
